GP Registrars

GP Registrars

Clyde North Medical Centre is proud to be Accredited by the RACGP as a training site as part of the AGPT registrar program.

GP registrars are qualified doctors who all have previous experience in the Australian health care system, generally in hospital based roles and some with previous general practice experience.

GP registrars are undertaking further training in becoming specialist GP’s with Fellowship of the Royal College of General Practitioners.

GP registrars complete a series of rotations across various practices over the course of 2 years. This gives them the opportunity to gain experience in a range of practices as part of their training.

Senior doctors in the practice provide mentorship, support, education and supervision of all GP registrars supported by the RACGP.

We are thankful to our patients and community for supporting the learning of GP registrars in their specialist training.

Most GP registrars will spend a term of 6 months in the practice. As their placement approaches conclusion the registrar will notify their regular patients and a handover will be conducted with another GP.

The practice also updates information about our registrars & their placements via our Facebook Page and Website. We also include details of the registrars next placement location in the event that a patient would like to continue care with this doctor.

Dr Ehab Mostokly has been a mentor and GP educator on this program for many years. We are very proud to be part of the future of doctors in General Practice through this excellent program.
